I first met Jade literally 2 weeks before my son’s wedding. Asher informed me that his wedding planner from Le Voeu wanted to meet with me to run through the various wedding programs. I used the plural form on programs as there were a number of events (tea ceremony, church ceremony, wedding banquet and wedding luncheon) and the one I was most concerned about was the ‘tea ceremony’ as I was not well versed with the Chinese traditions and culture.

You know your wedding planner really cares about you when you try to micro manage things and she says to you “Hey don’t be so kaypo!” This to me was the starting point where I gave in 100% of my trust to Jade, the founder and operator of the highly recommended event planning company, Le Voeu. Not that I didn’t trust Jade before the cheeky unplanned moment where she rightfully put me in my place. In fact, quite the contrary. The moment I heard her voice on the phone for the first time after being recommended by a mutual friend, I felt she exuded a sense of calm and professionalism that put even a groomzila like myself at ease.

It was in this first conversation where I expounded my vision and expectations of how I wanted our wedding to be like. Jade just listened and vocally acknowledged every single key word I threw at her which made me imagine through the phone as though she was attentively and dedicatedly taking notes. Whether or not she was really doing so was secondary to the fact that she created a sense of assurance right from the start that she was more than competent to take on whatever we were about to entrust upon her. Simply put, Jade and her team of wizards are legendary at what they do and they tend to go beyond whats been expected of them. And yes, I call them wizards because at times it seems the only way they could possibly achieve their back to back workloads is if they possessed magical powers. Jade and her team make it look so easy. Just a few days left to the wedding day, I had a major concern about the screen set up at our venue. I felt that I over looked the detail of the screen size and felt that we needed a bigger screen to appreciate the many videos that we wanted to share at our reception. Alas it was too late and too expensive to get a bigger screen and Jade was instrumental at calming me down and reassuring me that the screen we had was sufficient. She took everything is her stride and handled it like a pro. This is what everyone needs during their wedding planning process, a confident organizer who not only knows her trade, but knows it well from not just the technical aspects, but also the human emotional aspects of the bride and groom.

Throughout the process until even after our reception, Jade and her team stayed with us to ensure every detail was taken care of properly. From the music, the timing, the program flow to the kitchen, they were on top of it all. I am confident to refer Le Voeu to all my family and friends regardless of the level of their personal standards because from our experience with Le Voeu, as long as you communicate authentically early on to them your vision and expectations of how you want your wedding to be, Jade and her team will step up to the challenge and match your energy to bring your wedding plans to life. Jade is such a blessing to have for a bride who gets overwhelmed very easily! I remember feeling at ease during the meetings as Jade is very thorough and clear when it comes to the planning. She is experienced and will happily advise you on any questions you may have.

When we wanted certain changes to the itinerary she was accommodating and would try her best to fit it into the schedule. She was also a very big help when it came to our overseas guests, organizing the transfer between venues and ensuring all guests were picked up from the airport promptly. I can’t say enough great things about Jade from Le Voeu. She went above and beyond with helping to plan our wedding and execute it the day of. Since not many people have done afternoon receptions, there were a lot of questions as to what/how to proceed with the schedule for the day. Jade was patient and always reachable throughout the whole process.

They had great suggestions and vendor recommendations which took a load off from having to search and review them myself.

To anyone who is getting married, I really recommend Le Voeu as your wedding planner! Jade being truly a magician in the event and in fact a therapist hidden within her job! I mean, whenever I’m worried about my wedding invitations, door gifts, bubble tea, wedding cakes, in a matter of time, she’ll be like “Oh! It’s already taken care of” and I’m wowed by how efficient she is! Could you imagine even for last minute request being requested to her, it was all fulfilled with zero disappointments! I’m for real that Jade is definitely a responsible person where one of the perks of having her is that she will make sure that all her brides are stress-free. Without her, I would think my inner bridezilla would have surfaced on that day!

I engaged Jade to be my wedding planner and coordinator a year and a half ago (Or more). Throughout these months leading up to Chee’s and my reception on 15.12.2018, I genuinely enjoyed working with Jade as I feel that we do so on the same wavelength. She is quick to respond to any inquiries and to come up with several solutions to any issues you may face.

When it came to arranging our reception programme with all the entertainment that Chee and I had planned, Jade was very meticulous and took all our priorities into concern – mainly, timing of all the entertainment. But all these were easy to resolve as Jade understood very quickly where Chee and I came from and delivered to our expectations.

In addition to that, we also had Jade and her team to coordinate our tea ceremony sessions on both our sides in the morning, which made the event smoother. Throughout the day, from the early hours till the wee hours, Jade and her team worked very hard and everything would not have gone so smoothly without their constant assistance.

After attending quite a lot of weddings we knew that there was a lot of organizing, liaising and planning that was required- not just before but on the actual event day itself. We were introduced to Jade through our decorator about 6 months before the wedding.

From the minute we met Jade, we knew that her team & herself at Le Voeu would be the key people in ensuring a smooth & relatively stress free wedding! Jade was professional and quick to reply any queries that we had about anything and everything related to the wedding! She made sure we were on track with our timeline, helping us to liaise with the many different vendors and going out of her way at times for many of our requests and queries.

On the event day itself because there was a programme schedule planned, and a support team in place, the day went by so smoothly as there was one main contact point who would be able to delegate and coordinate everyone else. As the bride and groom we did not have to worry about the responsibilities of the many important different aspects that could be forgotten such as passing out the corsages to family members, liaising with catering vendors for setup after the wedding ceremony, coordination of ushers at the dinner reception, coordination of all the vendors for night reception such as the band, emcee, decorator, etc.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jade and her team again for such great coordination and event planning, we were able to enjoy celebrating with our family and friends knowing that everything was under control and not having to worry or think about all the various details.
